Here is a few of the many stories that I have had the privilege to document. I spend an extensive amount of time getting to know couples to create wedding films that are personal, timeless and story driven.

"I always pictured us as one of those
couples that gets old and feeds ducks at the lake together"
"He came into my life and completely changed it. We met in a dog park threw his business partner"
EMILY + MICHAEL
"From the very first date you felt like home. My dad said if you have to ask yourself is he's the one then he's not and I never had to do that with Michael "
ryan + shannon
"Our families set us up, a little match making and 6 years later here we are "
Padraic + Krystal
"It's been 7 years and I've known for several years that he's the one. He's my best friend and my partner for life "
Jordann + Scott
"From the day I met you, you were always my home and my adventure all wrapped into one"
Bronwyn + Craig
"It was just the very sweet moment between my grandfather and him before he passed away and from that moment I knew he was the one "
Emily and Michael (and winnie the dog) messaged me in 2020 and a whole year went by as we got to know eachother.
There wedding day was simple yet intimate and fun. What seemed like a bummer situation just made way for creativity as we had some major heavy rain during the photo session but Josie and and I were down for some unique shots and that we definitely got.
The only challenge with this wedding was navigating the rain but thank the Sony Gods for weather sealing so everything was ok and I made it threw the shoot with no damage to my camera.
This wedding also featured a first look and personal written vows which was easily my favorite part. Although this wedding was delayed a year it was definitely worth the wait.
Matt and Ashley met at a dog park where the best man had introduced the two. In life and in family trauma Matt and Ashley have been together threw a lot and there relationship is strengthened and stood the test of time in the process. Filming this wedding I kept in mid the people that were present but also those that couldn't be there with us. Tyler was Ashley's younger brother and I never got the chance to meet him but it was clear that he was the life of the party type of character. In the video you can see Ashley holding a hat that Tyler used to wear. Inserting these little shots was important because I could see how important Tyler was to Ashley.
Moments like these remind me of the potential with wedding videos. I'm there for the wedding day itself capturing the bride and groom but its also important to be mindful of the people that have come to celebrate. Watching your wedding video years from now these people will stand out in your video as they age. Some will continue to grow with us and some may pass so I want to give people the opportunity to be able to look back and relive moments that they had with those people in there wedding video.
For me its more than the wedding day, its little details like this that make a wedding video timeless.

Katie and Dustin are both creatives which gave me the ability to rally explore different things during the wedding day. I will always recommend a first look because it really gives the couple a chance to calm all the nerves before the ceremony.
Back in 2018 I met Katie working at Henrys Camera store. When she told me about her then boyfriend Dustin I said in a joking manner (but I wasn't joking) I call dibs on your wedding video. Although between now and then I had moved my business and life to Ottawa I stayed true to my original plan and man was it worth it.
Katie and Dustin are both creatives which gave me the ability to really explore different things during the wedding day. I will always recommend a first look because it really gives the couple a chance to calm all the nerves before the ceremony. It's also a nice moment to just check in with your significant other to say how the day has been going.
Paddy and Krystal met back in 2012 during nursing school but actually only really started talking towards the end of there studies.
This was another covid wedding where I only met the couple on the day of. However spending the day with them I got to see why these two mesh so well. From a creative stand point my favorite part about this wedding was the colors.
Paddy's green suit and just the moody vibes of outside really gave me inspiration of how the color grade would come together. This was definitely a wedding I was excited to edit and I think it really came together :)
Usually my thumbnail is a shot of the couple but there was something about the bridesmaids walking in the forest that I just loved the look of. Jordann + Scott had a backyard wedding but you would never be able to tell because the set up was amazing.
If covid has taught me anything is that backyard weddings still have potential to be great and lavish. The interesting part about there short film is that they didn't want to do the part where they speak on camera which is a staple of what I do but I was up for the challenge. Stay tuned for the full film.
Fun fact before Jordann and Scott first reached out I wasn't sure if I would take a wedding on this date because it was the day after my brothers wedding but I woke up early that morning and made the 3hr drive from Peterborough and I'm glad I did.
The sky was clear and the sunset was perfect for some drone shots and magic hour shots. The rustic colors just added to the whole vibe and I loved every minute of it.
Shannon and Ryan met in an interesting way. The parents of the two actually introduced them as they worked at Carleton University and asked for there children's assistance. It was from there the two began talking and went on there first date to Victoria Trattoria (Rip). When Ryan proposed he did it on a hike where Shannon apparently knew what was up. After 6 years Shannon said yes and the rest is history.
Thank you Shannon and Ryan for giving me the opportunity to be apart of your day. The friendship between you guys felt special and genuine and I felt privilaged to share this special day with you.
The last time I was at Aquatopia there were record heat waves outside and being in a greenhouse it was tough. If you have the option I would recommend getting this venue in the fall as its nice and cool and the inside still looks beautiful.
My favorite part of thing wedding was the speeches. The best man in particular delivered a very touching speech that stuck with me. You could feel the genuine love between all of the friends and parents.

"When you see how Damien puts your personal day in a video, it's emotional and beautiful. He adapted to our comfort levels for the video and created a product that perfectly reflected our emotions and overall vision. This video is a keepsake we are proud to show people, but more importantly, one that we will continue to watch over and over again. Highly recommend North Park Films!"

A true artist at his craft! OVER THE MOON HAPPY!!! North Park Films goes ABOVE and BEYOND to capture the moments of your special day and turn them into a cherished memory that you will have for a life time. As a wedding photographer in the industry myself for a number of years, when it was finally time for me to get hitched I knew I only wanted the best, and Damian is THE BEST! He brings a carefully crafted style over years of experience and is very personable, friendly and was joy to have on our special day! I would not have remembered half of the day if not on film as they say it truly goes by in a blink

Damian was an absolute pleasure to work with, and we feel so lucky that he was available to film our wedding! He is incredibly creative, and a master of his craft. He truly made our dreams come true, and captured all of the most special moments of the day exquisitely. We will cherish our wedding video forever, and will always be so thankful for Damian and the hard work he put in to make it so perfect. We highly recommend snapping him up for your wedding before it’s too late!
Dunstan + Charlini
Damian has a true talent and passion for story telling and we are so grateful that we got to work with such a humble and talented person. You know we all had a good time when your videographer is on the dance floor at the end of the night partying with you and having a blast!!!

"Since my husband and I got engaged I knew that one of the most important parts of the wedding day would be finding someone to capture it. I didn’t want someone to video tape it. I wanted someone to truly capture it. The emotions. The love. The moments. I watched what felt like hundreds of videos from different videographers and was simply not satisfied; that was until I found North Park Films. Damian was so easy to work with, he made everyone feel comfortable behind the camera and was able to make the entire room light up with his witty comments and great sense of humour"
