Ottawa Wedding First Looks 2021

If you are contemplating a first look I highly recommend doing one. Our Ottawa Wedding First Looks 2021 is a compilation of couples sharing a special moment of seeing each other before the ceremony. If you have the opportunity to do a first look I would. Its a moment to slow down the day and just have a intimate moment with your significant other in peace. The rest of the day everybody is around you so having this private moment can be special and something you will cherish for years to come.

Ottawa has been my favorite place to capture first looks. The scenic views just hit different when all I’ve known was the concrete jungle vibes of Toronto. Even on one occasion where my audio failed me the view and vibe of every venue was too good. The first couple was Bronwyn and Craig, there wedding day had a lot of emotion and I really appreciated witnessing the moment when they had there first look. There was crying, laughter and the moody after rain vibes with deep colors really set the mood. Bronwyn and Craig got married at the Adelina Barn in Quebec, this venue is a little bit of a drive from Ottawa but its worth it. If you are having a small intimate wedding then I highly recommend this wedding venue. My second couple was Emily and Michael. From the pinch of Michaels bum I was smiling ear to ear watching Michael react to seeing Emily for the first time. Michael and Emily are like two big kids and this was another moment during the day where you could see the dynamic between them and it was cool to watch. Emily and Michael got married at Orchardview Wedding Venue. This was my first time at the venue and din’t get to see much as this was a covid wedding but from what I did see its quiet, tucked away in a nice community and very scenic with a lot of greenery.

Jordann and Scott had a first look on there parents property on the path leading up to the house. Jordann and Scott mentioned to me that they didn’t want to speak on camera which was fine with me so I wasn’t sure exactly how expressive they would be during the first look but it was great. Seeing Scott a little nervous before followed by him being genuinely shocked by her dress was cool to see. Katie and Dustin’s whole wedding day was a spectacle with many opportunities to get some unique shots. Before the first look we were running a little behind but once it happened nothing else mattered. There’s something about doing a first look that slows the day down and gives you a second to spend with the person that levels you and I could feel that energy during Katie and Dustin’s first look.

Ashley and Mike had there first look at the super scenic Le Belvedere wedding venue. The first look happened at a bridge that’s located about 5mins away from the venue. If you can make the drive I would as its super nice. If you’re looking for that first look where the groom cries then look no further. Ashley and Mike had been threw a lot in a year and this day was full of emotion. This first look and day altogether hit differently. Paddy and Krystal got married at the Strathmere Wedding Venue in Carleton Place. We did the first look in a field just away from the venue but there’s so many great spots at this venue to make a good first look happen. Aquatopia has an amazing inside for a first look if you can manage to do that. But if you plan to utilize the outdoor area then there is a nice little hill at the back where you can do a first look. They also have a little pond at the front but that’s also where people drive in. Shannon and Ryan had there first look at the back and its a great little spot especially when the sun is setting. At this moment we were 2hrs behind but for these 5mins really slowed the day down and you could see Shannon and Ryan were just happy to be with each other.
