Meeting Bronwyn and Craig for the first time on the wedding day felt like I’ve known them for years. I knew from the moment I did a storytelling session with Craig that There first look was going to be special.
2 years ago before the pandemic happened I actually met the owner of Adelina Barn Wedding and we had spoke about working together. However due to the pandemic everything was put on hold but as fate would have it 2021 was the year we met again and I shot my first Adelina Barn Wedding. Craig and Bronwyn were a dream to work with from the very beginning. They were one of those couples that I had hoped would sign and when they did I was excited and knew there wedding would be one that ended up on my website. For me it was the way these two spoke about each other that had me struggling to decide what audio would be best to use because it was all so good.
This wedding day was perfect! Meeting Bronwyn and Craig for the first time on the wedding day felt like I’ve known them for years. I knew from the moment I did a storytelling session with Craig that There first look was going to be special. He had a lot to say about Bronwyn and not knowing them I was excited to meet her just from the way the spoke about her. From the story telling sessions, first look and ceremony itself it was hard to hold back tears as these two declared love for each other. They shared a lot of inside jokes and it was nice to watch.
A running theme with the last few first looks I’ve done is the release of stress you see once they have this moment. There’s no stress about the day running behind because all that mattered was the moment they were currently having. Its truly something special and I recommend it to settle nerves on the wedding day. Bronwyn and Craig’s first look had that same feeling as well and I recommend doing a first look if you can. The weather on this wedding day was tricky it was pouring rain in the morning so it was hard to say how the rest of the day would go but the weather actually added to the vibe of the day. The gloomy vibes with all the rustic dark colors really gave me inspiration artistically. If you get rain on your wedding day just be rest assured that over cast will at least give you amazing photos and video.
My only challenge at this wedding was navigating the weather for drone shots I also almost missed the entrance from the bride and groom and stepped right in front of Jess’s (the photographer) shot (sorry Jess). Also while on the topic special shoutout to @jessrosephoto and @motionbymike for making this day feel creatively adventurous. If dark and moody is your vibe then I highly recommend them. They were super easy and candid to work with (book them if you can) and they both look like rockstars so that’s a plus.
My first wedding at this venue was perfect from the couple to the venue and esthetic itself I highly recommend it if you can find availability. For ceremonies you actually have the option to have it covered under a roof as shown in this video or outdoor on the field assuming there’s no rain.
